Prosecuting Insurance Fraud is a resource intended to aid prosecutors in the conviction of insurance fraud cases. Insurance fraud has reached levels of epidemic proportion as a result of public misperceptions, a lack of criminal justice resources, the potential difficulty of prosecution, and the ease of committing the crime. Successful identification, investigation, and prosecution of insurance fraud cases will help to decrease the frequency of insurance fraud.

Safe Surfing

Today more children than ever are using the
Internet. In an effort to keep these children safe and to help
their parents recognize
and deflect danger, the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C)
partnered with the National Sheriff’s Association (NSA)
to create and develop Safe Surfing: Using the Internet Safely.
A 2-DVD set is designed to assist law enforcement
in educating children and parents about the safe us of the Internet.
Targeting
grades 2 through 5, Safe Surfing takes children through a variety
of situations they may encounter online. A Parent’s Guide
to Internet Safety takes a proactive approach to help parents keep
kids safe.
Presenter notes containing basic information and discussion points
are also provided for law enforcement officials presenting the
videos.

go "under the hood" to learn about the kinds of jail-door-slamming evidence forensic specialists can find inside computers.
This DVD provides information and training on:

- Digital evidence search, seizure, and preservation
- Law enforcement case studies
This program is designed in four parts, each to be viewed independently. As such, portions of each segment may be duplicative.
All four sections, Part I, First Responders; Part II, Detectives and Investigators; Part III, Computer Forensics; and Part IV,
Case Files; are designed for first responders and investigative personnel as an overview of the role of digital evidence in criminal
investigation and prosecution.
